Tbilisi After Dark

Tbilisi, Georgia. The city’s narrow streets, low-built construction, and hilltop churches make Tbilisi a city to be enjoyed by night. The Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi—only a decade old—is the main church of the Georgian Orthodox Church and the cityscape’s most prominent feature.

The pretty old town across from Metekhi. Above is the Narikala fort, dating from the 4th century.

The 13th century Metekhi Church stands above Tbilisi’s Kura River. Beside it is a statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the 5th century Georgian king credited with founding the Tbilisi.
